Announcement    CORONAVIRUS INFO in regards to my shop- During this unprecedented time, I will still be listing new pieces and accepting orders. My family and I started self quarantining before the first case was reported in our city because we have an 18 month old son and elderly/extreme risk parents and loved ones. Since my studio is in my house, I’m able to remain safe and secluded and create jewelry. As always, I am the only person that comes in contact with everything that goes into your order and I am taking extreme measures to keep myself healthy for you and my family.

•I just had my first baby on July 31, 2018, so please try to be patient with your orders. My current turnaround times are all topsy turvy, but I am still working everyday, just far less hours! I am only one person handling a growing business, an energetic toddler, and every single aspect of your order.
• I am a new mother and producing at a reduced rate ever since my son was born. Please message me if you need an order within a certain time frame! I need at least 10 days notice (one week for your jewelry and 3 days for domestic shipping, international orders I’ll need at least one month- one week for the jewelry and 3 weeks for shipping!)

• If you are just wanting to check on your order, head over to Instagram to see what I’m working on before messaging me. I usually post stuff as I finish it.

•You will receive a shipping notification via email once your order is done. It could take up to 48 hrs after that before it actually leaves my studio, so that is your last and final chance to change an address or request an extra service.

•Do you accept custom requests?
-YES! My customs almost always stay open. Turnaround time is about 6-8 weeks (or longer depending on the piece) for customs because I still have my regular orders to work on, in addition to the rest of the day to day operations of a business and my new responsibilities as a mother. Please have a design idea in mind and a general budget you’d like to stick to. Those are usually my first questions. If the consultation takes a really long time a deposit may be requested and it will go towards your final total.

•All custom order sales are FINAL. No cancellations or refunds will be available after the day the custom was paid for. I invest a lot of my time, money and materials into custom jewelry. From the consultation to the gems and metals used, to the finished product. Customs are tailored to the buyer requests which makes it difficult to resell.
Made to order items can usually be exchanged for something of equal value if the item doesn’t work out properly. Please just message me as soon as you receive your order. Additional shipping costs are the buyers responsibility.

• International shipping ‘Need to Know’-

- I cannot alter ANY info on customs forms. This is ILLEGAL and I won’t risk my business. Please don’t ask me to do this.

- There could be customs fees that have to be paid before receiving a package from the US. These fees have absolutely nothing to do with Etsy or my shop and they are the responsibility of the buyer.

- I do not offer refunds for merchandise if you don’t pay those fees and results in the package being returned to me. I will simply contact you to arrange for reshipment. Keep in mind, shipping will need to be paid for a second time ($15USD). It’s best to just pay the customs fees the first time around to avoid paying a second shipping cost.

• Can copper jewelry turn my skin green? (This is a several part answer, make sure to read it all!)
-IT CAN! Yes! But it does not mean there is anything wrong with your jewelry! Refunds or exchanges will not be done based on skin discoloration. You can request that I seal your jewelry with high grade lacquer prior to shipping, or if you prefer to have your piece patina naturally over time, you can leave it natural. You can always opt to paint the copper with clear nail polish to prevent green skin and natural patina from occurring. Rings are the worst offender when it comes to green skin.

• More info on copper and skin discoloration:
-When copper is exposed to air, it darkens or tarnishes, forming what is commonly referred to as copper “patina.” After prolonged contact with human skin where it can interact with air, sweat and other chemicals, such as soaps, lotions and makeup, copper can turn green or bluish-green, and stain the skin in the process.

The reaction varies according to an individual’s body chemistry, both in how long it takes for the green discoloration to form and in how pronounced the color becomes. Some people experience no discoloration. The discoloration, incidentally, is not harmful to one’s health, and can be washed off with soap and water. If not washed off, it is normally absorbed by the body overnight.

Some health-conscious people buy copper jewelry, especially bracelets, for the purported healing properties that result from the direct contact of copper with their skin. They welcome the green discoloration of their skin as evidence that the copper is working.

•Can I have my jewelry rushed?
-this will be a case by case basis. If you need something quicker than my regular turnaround time, please contact me before placing your order and double check I’m able to honor this request. If it’s a realistic timeline, I will usually be able to. Charges may apply if you want to jump in front of the line.

•How long will my order take before it’s ready to ship?
-Turnaround times vary. I am one person and I receive a lot of orders and custom requests. My ready to ship pieces (clearly labeled as such or OOAK) take up to 5-7 days to ship because I polish and clean up every piece one final time, hand craft a custom length chain for you, and package it ready to give as a gift. And I could be doing this with anywhere from 5-50 orders at a time.

-Made to order jewelry can take up to 6 weeks to ship. This time is subject to change! Please message me if you need something sooner. I can usually accommodate your request if enough notice is given)

•What do I do if I damage my KQ jewelry?
- Each piece is handcrafted with love and should be treated as such. Some jewelry I create is made for everyday wear, other pieces are not. (Pieces containing crystal clusters or more fragile stones should be treated with extra care.)
-My work is fragile and requires gentle care. If a piece is dropped and damaged, submerged in water or damaged at the fault of the owner, a repair or replacement will not be provided without additional charges. Buyer must pay all shipping costs.
- If something happens within the first 30 days (a stone falls out of setting, or there is a problem with the overall construction of a piece) contact me immediately. This will be a case by case basis.
